Refurbished in recent years, the original timber framed barn dates to the early 19th century. Many of the period features, such as the exposed wooden beams, timber trusses and flagstone flooring have been sympathetically restored.

Approaching from the main courtyard, the oak-framed porch is a grand entrance into this magnificent home. Through the double doors you enter into the front reception room, which is laid with flagstone flooring. It has glazed timber framed windows that provide great views into the garden and countryside beyond.

From the hallway you can access the kitchen, living room, sitting room and staircase to the ground floor. Hardwood flooring runs through the majority of the first-floor accommodation.

The kitchen features a breakfast bar island and a stunning black Aga that adds to the country home feel. Polished black granite counter tops set within a hardwood kitchen with Shaker-style oak units complement and enhance the timber beams.

The family room is a showstopper. Two fully exposed timber roof trusses are the focal points of the room that are beautifully enhanced by the natural colour pallet and cleverly placed skylights. Two glass doors provide views into the garden and lead out onto the patio.

Leading off the hallway, the sitting room and dining room both feature tall windows to the east and west providing natural lighting throughout the day. The sitting room located next to the kitchen features a Clearview multi-fuel stove within a fireplace with a bowed wooden mantel shelf.

Moving to the lower floor, the open banister allows for natural light to travel below and a lavish curved staircase leads down to an open area which grants access to all the bedrooms, main bathroom, utility room and side door to the front of the property. Along the corridor is a double shoe cupboard and double coat cupboard.

The master bedroom accessed via double doors from the landing, has the added benefit of a dressing room and ensuite shower room with his and hers handwash basins. From the master bedroom there is access to the private courtyard at the rear of the property via double patio doors.

Bedroom two is located at the front of the property. Further along the corridor are bedrooms three and four which are similar in size and both have built-in wardrobes with mirrored doors. These bedrooms overlook the courtyard to the rear of the property, with bedroom three having double patio doors which open out onto it.

The main bathroom services bedrooms two, three and four and includes a free-standing roll-top bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and rectangular hand-wash basin. Next to the main bathroom is a utility room with a built-in sink unit, space for white goods and its own exterior door, it is the perfect room for
bringing in muddy boots or clothes from the garden.

Separate to the other sleeping accommodation bedroom five, which is currently being used as an office. It can be accessed from the main living accommodation through the dining room or from an external staircase located to the side of the property. The bedroom includes an ensuite shower room. This bathroom has the added benefit of being used as a visitor bathroom.

The Coach House
To the right of the patio is a detached coach house covered in rustic timber cladding complementing the style of the main dwelling.

The coach house is entered through double doors and features a large games room with a skylight, a study, and an ensuite shower room and is ideal for use as either a home office or guest suite.

Gardens and grounds
Approaching the property there are electrically operated coach gates that open to the long sweeping gravel drive, bordering the fields. The drive leads you to the large block paved courtyard in front of the house. The courtyard offers ample private parking spaces and easy access to the triple garage.

At the front of the property is a large south-facing patio area which can be accessed from the main house via the large porch and family room. The size of the space lends itself well to hosting large functions and on a hot summer’s day would be ideal for alfresco dining.

From the patio you have stunning views out to the large lawned garden interspersed with mature trees. Beyond the lawn are views of the 6.48 acre field.

To the rear of the property, where the living accommodation is situated, there is a private courtyard. Part gravel, part paved, the courtyard is enclosed by hedged boarders and has two trees planted in the centre as focal points.
